I am Laura Strange. Pleased to meet you.
I build brands and experiences through design, in the digital and physical worlds.
So what does that mean exactly? Well, it means I'm a designer with a passion for branding, extensive experience in digital and traditional training in print design. I embrace these passions from my home on the sunny Gold Coast located in Queensland, Australia.
My current role is working as the Design Coordinator for Gold Coast Health, and freelancing with Art-Work Agency.
My creative journey began working as a broadcast designer for Channel Seven and undertaking a Bachelor of Design at Griffith University’s College of Art where I scored the Best Portfolio award upon graduation. Following graduation, I began working with world-class branding strategy firm, Lloyd Grey Design, where my passion for building brands was ignited.
Life's been busy since then, seeing my work in design and modern fabrication techniques exhibited in over 20 group shows around Queensland. These included the debut of Let's Face It, I Used to Skate Once 8, 9, 10 & 11 and the Debut show at the Gold Coast's St. Thomas Studio.
This all lead to the undertaking of a collaboration with local accessories designer, Sarah Huston, in Feb 2014, where we co-exhibited our works in a show exploring modern fabrication techniques, Far Fetched – this first of its kind in Queensland.
My true passion lies in exploring brand in the digital space, and how considered UX and UI can successfully transcend a brand from the real to digital worlds.
I am a sweet-tooth, a romantic, and have a confusing relationship with caffeine.
